PS: I changed my blog bg song to this as it reflect my feelings well. It takes a few minutes to load if u have not heard before. So please stay on for a while... Sorry for so long for me to post this as i just now play PS2... Hehe
3rd week of SIP and WeekendSunday and monday are resting days for me as i seek to gain much needed energy for the third week of attachment. All seems well as i find back some energy. Did some spring cleaning and manage to delete some un wanted files for some more much needed spaces. Looks like i can relax when i am at home for the next few weeks' spare time. Haha... ...
So tuesday, met up with my sec school friend and another intern at my company, innosys pte ltd. I am glad she is here, or else i will be unable to survive the remaining 14 weeks of SIP with only Chin Ting. Another intern is a tall malay guy called ammar, which i heard as ahmad initially. He is quite funny at times as there are not that many malays in this company. When during lunch, thought can have lunch with my sec school friend. But the supervisor decided that she and chin ting are to go for lunch. While me and ammar go lunch in other shift. Hmmm, i hope dun always lunch with the same person next week, or i may feel sad somehow. As basically, no-one talks with me during lunch most of the time. For tuesday, i ate alone as i somehow cannot find that malay partner. If only he is a chinese, things will look much brighter for me. I start reading documentations during last hour. A lot more to go for the next day.
Wednesday, i study lots of documentations which is at least more than 500 hundred pages. I read through half of it as the rest are similar and seems much tougher to what my task is. I am told to help out in the creating/modifying tables in excel and microsoft sql enterprise manager in the upcoming transport module. Besides that, today i also help out my partner or rather my sec school friend with alignment of reports. If u do not know how to test the alignment, the error may be hidden and will cause customers to complain more about it soon if not solved soon. Alignment may waste some time, but it is key to prove that a report can be printed out nicely or not. Worse still, if a customer finds his/her report got words missing, more complaints will be filed soon. Haha... So, i am glad that she appreciates my effort in explaining how it goes about doing this small but important procedure. BTW, found that my supervisor is not that good at english as i understand a few words of her sentences only. Haiz... , as ammar the malay pal is in company, she is restricted to english at times to instruct him or during group discussions. But never mind, i am quite clever as i figured out her words soon after... haha Lunch with ammar is not interesting as he does not have much to talk to me and i only ask him some questions. He support Man Utd as i do as i found out soon. Hmmm...
Later that day, i went to collect my hp from nokia care centre at century square as yesterday i found out that it close servicing queue tickets 15 mins before 8pm. Anyway, after work, i rushed down and manage to join the queue for collection at 7:30pm. Waited for quite some time before getting back my hp. The person just quickly fitting everything into my hp without giving me a chance to inspect anything inside and the person just ask me to sign 2 documents. I stayed near that counter to test my N6260 a while before finding that there don't seem to have any problems and i reach home soon. BTW, found out that my hp got a few new functions. Gonna explore soon.
Wednesday and Thursday, we r given training by mr lam for background info on Air and Sea Freight modules. He teaches us quite well as i manage to understand most of the concepts. Though it appears to be logistics area, i enjoyed it as it sounds interesting to me. On Thursday though, as my supervisor takes over soon, i soon start to fall semi asleep, but i still hang on as a respect to her as she is trying hard to show us the examples using a laptop and a monitor. I also learnt how to create user accounts in the program to access the training database to try exploring on my own without deleting any other data. And then i am told to create the tables in microsoft sql enterprise manager. I completed more than 300 rows of details in last few hours of the day. So Tml is another day perhaps... ... Handphone just seem to be facing some problems again.
Friday, Finish creating tables soon. After a while, i am told to standardize field names and file types. That is what i do after lunch. For lunch time, i ate with a colleague. Did not talk much during lunch, but he ask me how the study system takes place from primary school to tertiary level. Cannot blame him for not knowing as he is an indonesian though. Heard from him that in indonesia, u only need to study 3 years of secondary school. Good rite? lolz ... After, start on standardizing the fieldnames as there are alot to do... At the end of the day, my mind is swirling around as i saw too many words already. Managed to finish correct 80% of the wrong field names though. So after that, i went home to rest a bit and went to nokia care centre before 7:40pm. But who knows, the staff already dismantled the ticket machine before i reach there and time is not even 7:45pm lo. So therefore, went back sadly as i ended my weekdays feeling sad and abit of despair which are accumulated throughout the weekdays from many events.
Saturday, wear informal to work. Every body look quite cool. Today, was told to review the tables again and this time told to sort them in alphabetically order. Imagine that the data are messed up all around the table, it will take u some time to sort it properly right? Well, One table of 160+ rows that consist of fieldnames not in order took me a few hours to complete. After that, was told to attend the meeting about the new transport module as we seek to complete it properly and even add a few new features. It took 1 hour, and so i ended work at 1:30pm. Ate curry noodle and went to CS to send my hp to repairs this time for sure. The service there are good, but mayb technicians there does not look free as the people there seems to have alot of business of spoilt handphones to do. While waiting, i looked around and did not see any good HP model around. I think i shall wait for N91 then. So, hp sent for repairs and i went home feeling depressed somehow. Next week, surely it will be better ya? I shall give my best attitude on monday ba. As for today, i stayed at home, play PS2 on my own. Nice, did not spare time to play PS2 in last few weeks. I think i should be playing more often on every sunday every week ba. Haha... Still dun feel that my post is long enough. And oh ya, i got dreamt about lots of unique things over last few days. But i dun feel like discussing it now, I shall talk about it soon. Stay tuned... Listen to my blog song again before u go for a break, ya?

Thursday, Friday and TodayThursday, woke up early. I went to wait for bus8. And wat a surprise, 2 buses of bus8 pass by my bus stop with load full of TP students. I reckon those students live at Tamp St 21/32/33 area. Arg... Mayb today there are more 8am lessons in TP. Damn those students, all seems to be last min late for their lesson... zzz Occupy 2 full buses somemore... Haiz, as a result, i took bus 28 and change to bus 65. But then towards Eunos Link, the second bus8 that is full at my stop appeared in front of bus65 and sort of delaying bus 65 from advancing faster. Sigh, therefore i arrived at company quite some minutes late at 8:47am. Chin Ting as usual appears to be earlier than me again at 8:45am like that. My predicted time is 8:40 though if not for those bus 8. -.- Never mind, tomorrow will be a better day. And so starts a new day, as the colleague that is supposed to review my work is quite busy, another colleague therefore helped me review and give instructions well. The length of each field name seems to have a standard as he told me. But i found quite some differences here and there that make me a bit confused. So with his guidance, i have revised a better version for today.
Friday, woke up a bit late than yesterday. Bus 8 did not come as the bus stop are full of people, therefore i took bus 28 to safra there and change to bus 65 again. I am quite surprised that bus 65 is quite reliable as i reached company at 8:42am and i broke my own record. But somehow, Chin Ting arrived earlier than me again. -.- 840am again... Looks like Bus 63 drivers really trains their driving skills alot. Hmmm today, revised a more updated database tables as new tables are ready for me to add in more details and edit where neccesary. As for primary key identification part, my colleague took over as i dun need think so hard. Ha ha, and so lunch, me n 2 other male colleagues went to the big food court below our office. I order Laksa Yong Tau Foo and i thought the laksa is not spicy de. But 10 Sips later, it is really quite spicy, therefore i eat slower. One of the 2 colleagues went back to office soon as the other stayed back to accompany me and discuss things.
Looks like from what he says, new interns are coming in next tuesday if there are no delays. I am quite happy as there are not many that i can chat well with in the office. One thing interesting that i note is that my colleagues are from indonesia, china and a few from malaysia. Despite some culture barrier, I start to understand and hope that everything should be peaceful in the next few weeks. As my colleagues mostly do not share similar interests including Chin Ting, I find opportunities to talk are far and few. I also heard that this company used to have a big office area in kaki bukit which there is an IBM company branch there. A pity, it moves to here which is just 2 years ago. A bit more small discussions and we went up to office soon. These few days, I also know more admin stuffs such as receiving stuffs from delivery man and entertain those promoters. Got sell story books de, sell photocopier machine de and a few others. Amazing y they come here huh? Well, mayb they want to earn more income ba. Ended my day soon by starting to identify a big database for field name's length differences.
Tired but soon slack a while in the bus 22 where i meet yj they all for the movie- House Of Wax. Wow, there are traffic jams around Eunos link area. For 30 minutes, the bus reaches only the next 2 bus stops. Haiz, anyway they postponed it to 9:55pm instead. Normally i reach Tampines Interchange in 30 minutes time but today took 1hr to reach Tampines due to the eunos link traffic area. Instead of Burger King for dinner, 4 of us eat KFC instead while waiting for Dora to come. Cos KFC got more seats for us mah. Dora is delayed as she went for meeting with supervisors and a group of colleagues. So me n derrick eat and yj n jh tok about their experiences. Seems quite interesting compared to mine so far. Dora arrived a bit late and if we did not call her, she most likely cannot join us to watch movie due to a meeting. And so house of wax, i reckon it deserves 6.5 only as there are alot better horror movies. Intro part a bit too long while ending part is relatively not that dramatic. BTW, alot of people went to watch Star Wars yesterday as we met Longfei n her friend along the way in TM while we are hanging around. Mayb i shall watch soon? Haha, i not so interested though.
For most of 2nd week, i manage my time to reach company well. Reached there around 8:45am on almost everyday. These few days, there are traffic jams around Eunos link area. Nevertheless, i start to get used to the traffic conditions already. I also start to communicate better among my colleagues. This week, i mainly touch on database tables and checking for errors in programs and datas. and i learnt data input today. So far, it seems that i am settling well. Next week is likely to be a busy week for me though. As i got colleagues helping me as i progress, I believe i can really learn in this company attachment. Though not a big company, the work enables me to apply what i learn in TP and get exposed to the business world out there.
Today, reached company at 8:45 but Chinting reached at 8:40am somehow. Mayb low traffic around Ubi area today ba. Haiz Saturday, i am asked to join a few other staffs for meeting on the next stage of new database projects. Hmmm, it seems i will do documentations on the program soon. Seems like a good experience for me. So, i have learnt how to input data in a program for data testing uses. So ended the short day soon and went to my foodcourt eat before going home with no rain. Char Siew Rice are delicious today as compared to the same stall last week. The meat just seems sweeter and tender to go with rice. So ended my day and took a nap from 4pm-6pm like that. From 6pm onwards keep watching TV and add in more words for the e-journal.

Sunday, Monday, tuesday and wednesdaySunday, i went to Sim Lim square in the afternoon to buy my graphics card for my computer. Found a good one and bought it. Now, my graphics card has been upgraded from MSI mx440 64mb ddr to MSI fx5500 256mb ddr. Power enuff rite? Costs me $162 only. So after buying, i walk to bugis, hoping to see people that i know there. But i saw strangers everywhere. haha. Whenever i got feeling that i will meet someone that i know, it is always 50% that it will come true. Amazing ya? Soon, board the mrt home and replace old graphics card with newly bought one. The old one appears to have its small fan black in colour and a few spots of it is slightly black. Next time, i shall figure it out what is the problem leading to sudden graphics card failure with some friend. So if any of u free and is expert in identifying graphics card failure, rem sms me. Haha Now my PC graphics is alot better and it suddenly feels alot less laggy in appearance. Ended my day soon.
Monday, took bus 8 and transfer to bus 63. Bus 8 pass by me 3 to 4 times while i am waiting for bus 63 at Eunos link. Damn frustrated, should have continue to the stop near my workplace and walk in. Therefore, i arrived at 9:20am like that. My latest time is 9:25am though. Lucky nobody scold me, but i know i need to be punctual to impress my boss better. And also, i dunno how Chin Ting always reached company at 8:45am on every work day. I am therefore determined to arrive earlier than 8:45am more often from tml onwards. Yeah, a new goal for myself! Smash her record of 8:40am in due time! Yeah... Satisfied with my work of finishing the database tables well, but still got to wait for my colleagues to approve it before i can continue doing the next level of database creation. As such, i start on compiling the customers database for the company. There are 36 companies. Woah... Started on last working hour of the day, therefore should be finishing on tuesday easily.
Tuesday, i slept late. Nevertheless, I arrived at work at 8:57am. Bus 8 quite dependable today. But arggggggg, still fail to reach before 8:45am. -.- Feel depressed a little, but tomorrow i will be earlier. And so, i finish organising and compiling the company address details by lunch. And dunno for wat reason, Chin Ting dun wan to go eat lunch with me since a few days ago. As if i am going to eat her like that, oh well fine. I will find colleagues to eat lunch with me tomorrow. So today eat yee mian alone, but the standard here is jus acceptable. Haiz, i vowed i will not eat yee mian in ubi techpark ever again in the next 14 weeks. After lunch, i read news on yahoo site and relax for the last 5 working hours of the day. And the colleague that is going to review my work before me proceeding to the next level is still not yet done. No news of yet. Went home feeling a bit sad. Tomorrow will be better!
Today, i woke up at 6:50am like that. A rush of adrendaline rushed through my veins and i quickly make sure that i went out to catch bus at 8am. However, bus 8 came at 8:10am. Therefore, i got 50-50 chance of making it to company before 8:45am. My heart pumped a bit faster than usual. Luckily, bus 8 is quite fast today. It even drove past an ultra slow bus23 along bedok reservoir expressway. Haha, It seems that i can arrive quite soon. And i reached at the bus stop outside my stop at 8:39 like that. And so, i walked fast and reached at 8:43am like that. Woo... So happy, found that i am the 2nd person to reach the company. The first person is of course the boss. And i waited to see how early Chin Ting actually arrive as the attendance file is in my hands, haha. So there she appears, at 8:46am like that. But i am very kind, write as 8:45, cos her record of 8:45am every working day is so nice. But today, finally i first time reached company earlier than her. By only 2 mins though, i feel quite happy. Tomorrow shall try to reach and smash her record of 8:40am if possible. Looks like i got to wait at the bus stop at 7:55am. Wow, bus 63 drivers always drive with constant speed and skills huh? Well, bus 8 is quite erratic somehow. Sometimes bus 8 can surprise me, but it often disappoints me. So later, i shall sleep earlier than yesterday.
Today, feel that she looks sadder day by day. Haha, and so i do admin stuffs and relax for an hour till 12pm. As usual, she ask me go lunch first. I dun really bother to ask whether she want to eat lunch with me anymore. I told her i will be joining 3 other colleagues for lunch. And for lunch, i went to a new canteen eat wanton noodles. Quite delicious and filling as well. I talk a bit with my colleagues and found out that Xiaoyi graduated from TP BIT 2 years ago. Wow, further more, heard they say that 2 new interns will be joining us. Haha, then i can eat lunch with my sec sch friend le. Yay! Should be my friend unless boss decides to employ other students instead. Now looking forward to next week, eager to meet my friend and i can dun care whether Chin Ting wants to talk to me or not. I got ask her questions these few days, but she just answer my questions with dull tone and gives short answers that i sometimes cannot understand. Haizzz
Anyway after lunch, i continue with some work given by a supervisor. That is to check some documents whether anything is left out for printing. I dun quite understand wat is the purpose of doing such a job when customers have already almost identified all possible problems, but i shall ask her about it tml. So i relax as i do and i take opportunity to explore the program for checking as well. Currently, feels that those guy colleagues are quite nice. I therefore shall try interact with them more regularly this week. Soon, I ended my work. Reached home feeling much better than yesterday. How shall tml turns out to be? Check it out soon, Ya... ...

SIP 4th day/5th day/friday 13th/Today*note: SIP 1st day para got a few sentences added to it...
4th day, did nothing much except a bit of filing. For lunch, i ate fish n chips. Hmmm, not bad, but did not feel full enough after eating. Hmmm, i dun think i will buy fish n chips in next few months as it is not value for money. Soon enough,i will evaluate on what food is good near my work place ba. After lunch, i am back to my cabin and i continue to read documents in the computer. After some reading, boss call me to meet him and a few other programmers in the meeting room. We discussed about whether i can join into their latest project. It is then confirmed that i can contribute by creating data tables for their new database. I am quite delighted that i have this opportunity to apply some of my ORDB knowledge into this new assignment of mine. Ended my working day soon as more details will be known to me by the next day... ...
5th day, I started in the morning by helping out Chin Ting in her customer follow-up work. Made afew calls to a company to ask for IP address and ask them to restart their PCAnywhere program to allow us fix their problem easily. However, i have some problem in explaining how my company managed to resolve the problem as one programmer took over from me and explained in a few sentences only. Hmmm, I shall be able to learn more on how to communicate better to companies as the weeks past by. Soon, we take turns to change shift... i had my lunch at 130am after i start abit on my assignment. Which is first to modify the old database tables, so that it can fit into microsoft sql servers easily. After Chin Ting came back, i finished the first table consisting of 150+ rows of data. Basically, i have to rename some elements and change data types etc before i went for my lunch an hour later. So i eat Char Siew Rice, meat is quite juicy but the sauce that comes together does not taste as well though. Still, i prefer the Char Siew rice near my house de.
After lunch, i continue to do the database editing task. I managed to finished 95% of the task as it is 6pm soon. How i wish i am still learning ORDB as i could learn to identify data types more easily back then. But now, it is okay as i find it acceptable at this stage of project. So off i go to eunos interchange to meet ... ...

Ah, it is friday 13th and it is 630pm. I took bus63 at 6pm+ and reached eunos mrt station to meet ivy lee. She asked me on thursday nite to meet her there to go together to meet kris at Dhoby ghout to celebrate Kris birthday. So when i arrived at mrt station, a girl approached me to ask me buy a book light which can be clipped onto pages of book. It costs $10 and since it looks nice and can help charity, i find it difficult to resist not helping the hardworking young girl. Along the way to Dhoby ghout, ivy lee kept reprimand me at times and talk non-stop to me. I can't blame her, of course as her work place seems quite boring. Soon, we meet up with kris and we went for a few games of pool. I managed to win all but lose a silly game to ivy. All because of the people behind me that makes me touch the white ball before i even want to shoot... zzz The people there charges us $6+ where they say is over an hour, but we like spend only less than an hour. Sighzzz, they want to earn easy money, no point to argue when we did not have evidence to proof that we play a while. After that, we went to Taos' and waited quite long before yx and greg comes to join us to wait for seats.
Wow, i must say that the food that i chooses taste quite nice. After eating, we celebrate by first singing the song in english followed by chinese. Greg even feels like singing in cantonese but as few of us know to even sing in that dialect, we proceed to let kris blow her candles and make wish. Despite all of us are quite full, we still eat birthday cake as a respect to celebrate with kris. It is vanilla with some choco bits spongy type of cake if i am not wrong. Kris receives her present consisting of very nice earrings and necklace. I indeed have fun with u all this night. From 9pm+, we ate to 11pm like that before we make our way home. Ahhh, what a nice day to end my first working week... ...

Today, SIP monthly lesson in TP. Here is how it goes, watched a interesting fish company video at 9pm before we head to our respective liasion Officer classrooms for lesson at 930pm. For today though, my LO is not present. So we head to Alternate LO classroom for lesson. We got briefed a little on the report format and was asked to draft an intro section as homework for next month's lesson. We soon discussed about the video and each group present it on a big sheet of paper. After that, we got our logbooks signed and it ended at 11:10pm+. I soon found yj and a few others at com lab and we head to food court opposite of TP. Marrybrown is quite expensive but looks good, i shall eat it when i get my pay. So i eat ramen with tomato sauce in it and a cup of soya bean. Alot of BIT people gather at that food court to eat btw. After eating, i went home since dora dun want me to join her and yj to orchard. And also since no one wants go anywhere, i proceed to take my bus8 home.
Once reached home, I am quite fed up with my com after that it is functioning a bit unwell yesterday... It appears that my graphics card has problem with displaying colours on the monitor. So after a lot of tries, i am tired and i went for a long nap at 1pm+ all the way to 7pm+. Now that i am revitalized, i am able to blog such a long one and part of it shall be used for my e-journal. Finally somehow managed to get my computer running. However, as i am blogging, my computer screen shows only a few colors and i had to bear a while since i am going to fix this problem quick by tml. I shall go to sim lim square tml to buy a new graphic card. Mayb i will head to CS or marine parade to send my nokia phone for repairs as it is getting worser day by day. SMS me if u wanna come accompany me. Till next monday, see ya...

SIP 1st day/2nd day/3rd day1st day, for most of the time before lunch, me and chin ting are briefed about our job scope. There are 5-6 components to cover, and the program itself ranges from 1-13 modules. Oh, we two sure are scared off slightly. But i console myself, i can cover those components soon. Haha. There are around 10 employees, all seems friendly. So its lunch time soon. Me eat Ban mian, chin ting eat economical nasi lemak type. My food is piping hot, costs only $2.50. Quite nice, but a bit too hot, slow to cool. After lunch, we are told to continue reading documentations. And there time ticks fast, 6pm came soon and home sweet home. This day seems to be indicating that my attachment throughout 16 weeks will be a fruitful and enjoyable one. There are a lot of files to explore and i believes those will somehow improves my skills abit more and get me familiarise with the operations faster.
2nd day, i get to know more about the admin tasks. In the morning and afternoon, two of us are showed how to do testing as the printed paper may not show the desired results that are showed on screen for some reason. But one of the tougher tasks are demonstrated and that is backup/restore of files on a new database using enterprise manager. U need to click here and there for many times to retrieve files and other things before tada... a backup database is loaded with info. From the surface, it looks easy. But it actually involves quite some steps to complete this. Some more practise on this shall do the trick, hmmmm... Then afternoon, both of us, started to pick up phone calls. All calls are looking for some staff in the innosys company though. Haha... For lunch, i eat wanton mee. $2 only... Wow, cheap and taste nice. I planned to eat 1 food from each stall from today onwards. My partner eat something like chicken rice. Hmmm, next time then i eat that. After lunch, we are taught about how to compile files. I understand 70% of the steps like that, but more practise needs to be done to be 100%. Not tat difficult, only jus a bit tricky. But needless to say, i got confident that i should be able to do this soon.
For the last 1 or 2 hour, we explore computer in different cabins. Mine is at the back, so i feel stress as the boss and managers are all behind me. Some other small testing are done before we are released. Off I went to take bus63 and it happens that my partner also meeting her BIT friends in bugis to eat and talk talk. So dinner, eat yoshinoya and discussed our SIPS among yj, dora, derrick, jh, nic, huiling. Chin ting and a few of her friends are at food court that are opposite of ours coincidentally. Chat and found out some of them really can have good lunches, some very relaxing and some can surf net occasionally de. Haiz, even if i can, my company's computers are too slow for fast navigating sites as programs sometimes hang while querying for data. -.- Back home at 9+pm, watch tv and sleep soon.
3rd day, busiest day so far for me. Attendance for chin ting always around 8:45am de. While me 9am like that. Hmmm, feel that take cab is better than take bus. Cab only past by some traffic lights, bus pass by a lot of traffic lights. Cab takes 20-25 mins to reach company, bus takes about 45mins-1hr to reach company. Somehow, the buses that i am waiting always come late de... And traffic lights keep delay the time. Dun u feel strange that u need 1 hr from tampines to ubi? Sigh, bus8 keep driving slow slow like that. So i guess i should be taking cab these few days to see how ba as i need 1hr to reach home... zzz Anyway, quite surprised that i saw my sec school classmate in my company. Wow, tat is at 10am like tat and i can't believe that i saw her. Hmmm, a while later, heard from one of the admin manager that she is another interviewee for my company and chances are high that she may be accepted. Things may be interesting if she is attached to this company. I dunno why boss wants to recruit attachment students, yet no choose to give us higher pay instead. Hmmm, maybe he want more variety of attachment students ba. She left after 1 hour like that, and another interviewee came.
This time at 11am, if i am not wrong should be a malay guy. Looks like the 2 interviewees are from dip in information management which is IT course. I am looking forward to a few weeks time. Suddenly, feels that my attachment is going to be better soon. Haha, got soft bg radio 933 fm somemore. Wah, can hear songs ranging from jay zhou to S.H.E. Hmmm, therefore does not feel bored these few days. At 10pm+, I started to do sorting and filing of documents that exist for as long as nov04 till now on my own mostly. Got to punch thousands of holes on papers somemore, feel exhausted at the end of the day as i only left 5% of them not filed in yet. Wow, Somemore needs to sort by date and companies and even branches. Alot of words on the documents make my eyes dizzy a little. Feels satisfied that i can do this though. My partner meanwhile do testing of programs on her own. She later got help me a little but she made 1 error. Haha, luckily i spotted it, or else sort by wrong date. Hmmm, she meet BIT at bugis after work, while me waiting for bus63 and bus8 miserably to reach home an hour later. I wonder why isn't there a express bus from tampines and stretch through Ubi techpark. Oh well... Hope there is one soon... Shall blog soon... see ya.

Mother's Day/Last words before SIPOk, Enjoyed myself for the last few days... Friday, friend come to my house play PS2 de lego Star Wars with me. It is a cute n fun game to play. Had Subway for lunch and Delifrance on Friday. Saturday, go to Derrick house to watch videos again. Not so bad la, can see his pet doggie also. Sunday, stayed at home while mum go out with her friend. Alas, happy mother's day to all mothers in this world. Did not celebrate as usual, but mayb tml buy some food home to treat my mum. Haha... at nite, went to trim my hair abit n buy a long pant at G2000 in TM. And before i end my day, i shall blog abit more about what is to come...
SIP day starts tml. At this point of time, i am sure most BIT Yr3 students are feeling excited and nervous. Haha, Anyway, i figured out a few new routes to reach my company without a need to take cab. I can either take mrt to eunos and then transfer to bus 63 to the bus stop tat is just a few steps away from my company, or i can take bus 8 and transfer to 63 at eunos link bus stop. But i am scared that bus63 does not come often. Hmmm shall see what happens tml then. Hope my day can be happy, if not satisfied at least. Hope the people there can be kind enough. Time is now getting closer to my SIP reporting time. Byebye, shall blog on my first day working in Innosys Pte Ltd tml.

Goodbye former president/Singnet promo/More on SIP Although i do not remember the presence of the former President Wee Kim Wee, I felt that he is still the people's president after hearing alot of news reports on his past. Here are some facts for those who do not know him well...

Ok, now i shall talk a little about singnet's recent broadband promotions. Gonna give some more details about my upcoming SIP before i sleep. I worked from 9am-6pm on weekdays and 9am-1pm on saturdays. Not that bad, though it can be better. My company appears to have moved from eunos area to ubi in recent years as the street directory is not up to date ba. There are lots of lifts lobbys in the building of my company, which is good in case of emergencies. The manager there appears to be a good man when he interviews me not long ago. As for colleagues, after a few days i shall know.
As for some other bad points, it seems to be only one canteen there. Hmmm, if the food are nice, mayb i can be satisfied? I can't imagine the long queues there may be during the lunch breaks. Sigh, sort of disappoinment if the stalls there are few. I shall check it out soon. As for accessibility, there are only a few buses that i can take apart from bus63->it is jus a road across my company's building. If i am to take bus 8 or 22 or 65 or 66, i need to walk at least 200m+ to my company!!! How can i not be tired then? I shall see how, the best way is to take cab but money is a factor here. Hmmm... There are other elements to whether i can survive this 16 weeks SIP ordeal ... Me Shall blog again soon...

Sentosa Trip Aftermath/SIP LaunchThe day after sentosa trip is the start of pain for me. First visible sign is that my face turns quite red and begins to feel itchy. Then the day after that, slimy liquid oozes out of my nose area. Oh, the skin area around my face starts to peel itself off slowly starting from my nose area. More skin starts to peel off constantly from inner circle(nose) to the outer circle(face). I am feeling pain as the skin is peeled more and more. From minor headaches to like shivering sort of pain, i managed to tolerate it for a nite.
After a nite, skins can be peeled off rather easily and finally without any much pain. At the moment, other skins from Shoulders, neck and upper arms start to peel off soon. As of now, my nose appears not to be so red and face is recovering well. Shoulder joints are quite red now and also more Dead Dry skins are awaiting to be peeled easily. Oh, hope it shall be over soon. As i blogged this, PSV loses out to AC Milan unfortunately through the away goal rule. Just 2 mins to extra time, PSV failed to prevent an away goal. Even though they scored seconds afterward, they are still one goal short of making into the final match in Istanbul. I feel so sad for PSV, they do not deserved to be kicked out. Some of the AC milan players kept looking cocky enough, they can count themselves lucky to be able to play in finals. Haizzz... ...
Talking about SIP launch which is 2 days ago, it makes me feel that my SIP Sem should be a happy one for me. I should be able to learn well and more during my 16 weeks in Innosys pte ltd, most probably as a customer support asisstant. Over the next few days, i shall come up with simple statistics to show u all a preview of what my SIP is going to be like. I shall start off with some known facts. I am lucky not to be working alone in the company at Ubi Techpark. I am more relieved than alot of students as my SIP partner is not any bad guy or naughty girl. When my LO, Ms Phyllis Chong called out our names to her desk for the job info, I soon found out that my partner is Chin Ting. Though I don't know her at all, she looks quite decent enough to be a good partner. If my partner is a guy, i of course hope is someone that i met before. But never mind, one can't ask for much either. My pay is slightly above $420 and I start work thankfully at 9am, though 10am will be better. KK, i shall reserve some other good points to talk about in the coming few days.
Now, i shall say a bit of the bad points. Firstly, I hate taking bus 8 as the drivers always drive slow and there are loads of traffic lights from my house to Ubi work place. Just a bus to TP already have 5 traffic lights. =.= I guess i may have to try transfering to other buses to see whether it comes at more intervals and fast enough or not. But the fastest way is still taking Taxi to work as it travels along expressway to Ubi area easily. It costs about $6 as i took cab to interview that day and still can afford to find the company slowly without unneccessary panics. I will only be more than willingly take bus 8 home as it is slow enough and a good time to take a short nap.
The 2nd bad point should be there are no shopping centres nearby. Awww, I actually want to take a walk in a shopping mall after a lunch and can see games or other interesting things. Too bad, but never mind. I have a good SIP partner and maybe can know some nice colleagues. Then, the third bad point should be... ... Ehh, tml or the day after then i say. And btw, no one wants to make any guess on the 1st and 2nd guess game already huh? Hmmm, maybe i will reveal answer soon. There are some other things that i want to say now, but i am tired to continue typing further. As for now, there shall be plenty of things to think about after reading this post. See ya soon... ...

3rd week of SIP and WeekendSunday and monday are resting days for me as i seek to gain much needed energy for the third week of attachment. All seems well as i find back some energy. Did some spring cleaning and manage to delete some un wanted files for some more much needed spaces. Looks like i can relax when i am at home for the next few weeks' spare time. Haha... ...
So tuesday, met up with my sec school friend and another intern at my company, innosys pte ltd. I am glad she is here, or else i will be unable to survive the remaining 14 weeks of SIP with only Chin Ting. Another intern is a tall malay guy called ammar, which i heard as ahmad initially. He is quite funny at times as there are not that many malays in this company. When during lunch, thought can have lunch with my sec school friend. But the supervisor decided that she and chin ting are to go for lunch. While me and ammar go lunch in other shift. Hmmm, i hope dun always lunch with the same person next week, or i may feel sad somehow. As basically, no-one talks with me during lunch most of the time. For tuesday, i ate alone as i somehow cannot find that malay partner. If only he is a chinese, things will look much brighter for me. I start reading documentations during last hour. A lot more to go for the next day.
Wednesday, i study lots of documentations which is at least more than 500 hundred pages. I read through half of it as the rest are similar and seems much tougher to what my task is. I am told to help out in the creating/modifying tables in excel and microsoft sql enterprise manager in the upcoming transport module. Besides that, today i also help out my partner or rather my sec school friend with alignment of reports. If u do not know how to test the alignment, the error may be hidden and will cause customers to complain more about it soon if not solved soon. Alignment may waste some time, but it is key to prove that a report can be printed out nicely or not. Worse still, if a customer finds his/her report got words missing, more complaints will be filed soon. Haha... So, i am glad that she appreciates my effort in explaining how it goes about doing this small but important procedure. BTW, found that my supervisor is not that good at english as i understand a few words of her sentences only. Haiz... , as ammar the malay pal is in company, she is restricted to english at times to instruct him or during group discussions. But never mind, i am quite clever as i figured out her words soon after... haha Lunch with ammar is not interesting as he does not have much to talk to me and i only ask him some questions. He support Man Utd as i do as i found out soon. Hmmm...
Later that day, i went to collect my hp from nokia care centre at century square as yesterday i found out that it close servicing queue tickets 15 mins before 8pm. Anyway, after work, i rushed down and manage to join the queue for collection at 7:30pm. Waited for quite some time before getting back my hp. The person just quickly fitting everything into my hp without giving me a chance to inspect anything inside and the person just ask me to sign 2 documents. I stayed near that counter to test my N6260 a while before finding that there don't seem to have any problems and i reach home soon. BTW, found out that my hp got a few new functions. Gonna explore soon.
Wednesday and Thursday, we r given training by mr lam for background info on Air and Sea Freight modules. He teaches us quite well as i manage to understand most of the concepts. Though it appears to be logistics area, i enjoyed it as it sounds interesting to me. On Thursday though, as my supervisor takes over soon, i soon start to fall semi asleep, but i still hang on as a respect to her as she is trying hard to show us the examples using a laptop and a monitor. I also learnt how to create user accounts in the program to access the training database to try exploring on my own without deleting any other data. And then i am told to create the tables in microsoft sql enterprise manager. I completed more than 300 rows of details in last few hours of the day. So Tml is another day perhaps... ... Handphone just seem to be facing some problems again.
Friday, Finish creating tables soon. After a while, i am told to standardize field names and file types. That is what i do after lunch. For lunch time, i ate with a colleague. Did not talk much during lunch, but he ask me how the study system takes place from primary school to tertiary level. Cannot blame him for not knowing as he is an indonesian though. Heard from him that in indonesia, u only need to study 3 years of secondary school. Good rite? lolz ... After, start on standardizing the fieldnames as there are alot to do... At the end of the day, my mind is swirling around as i saw too many words already. Managed to finish correct 80% of the wrong field names though. So after that, i went home to rest a bit and went to nokia care centre before 7:40pm. But who knows, the staff already dismantled the ticket machine before i reach there and time is not even 7:45pm lo. So therefore, went back sadly as i ended my weekdays feeling sad and abit of despair which are accumulated throughout the weekdays from many events.
Saturday, wear informal to work. Every body look quite cool. Today, was told to review the tables again and this time told to sort them in alphabetically order. Imagine that the data are messed up all around the table, it will take u some time to sort it properly right? Well, One table of 160+ rows that consist of fieldnames not in order took me a few hours to complete. After that, was told to attend the meeting about the new transport module as we seek to complete it properly and even add a few new features. It took 1 hour, and so i ended work at 1:30pm. Ate curry noodle and went to CS to send my hp to repairs this time for sure. The service there are good, but mayb technicians there does not look free as the people there seems to have alot of business of spoilt handphones to do. While waiting, i looked around and did not see any good HP model around. I think i shall wait for N91 then. So, hp sent for repairs and i went home feeling depressed somehow. Next week, surely it will be better ya? I shall give my best attitude on monday ba. As for today, i stayed at home, play PS2 on my own. Nice, did not spare time to play PS2 in last few weeks. I think i should be playing more often on every sunday every week ba. Haha... Still dun feel that my post is long enough. And oh ya, i got dreamt about lots of unique things over last few days. But i dun feel like discussing it now, I shall talk about it soon. Stay tuned... Listen to my blog song again before u go for a break, ya?

Thursday, Friday and TodayThursday, woke up early. I went to wait for bus8. And wat a surprise, 2 buses of bus8 pass by my bus stop with load full of TP students. I reckon those students live at Tamp St 21/32/33 area. Arg... Mayb today there are more 8am lessons in TP. Damn those students, all seems to be last min late for their lesson... zzz Occupy 2 full buses somemore... Haiz, as a result, i took bus 28 and change to bus 65. But then towards Eunos Link, the second bus8 that is full at my stop appeared in front of bus65 and sort of delaying bus 65 from advancing faster. Sigh, therefore i arrived at company quite some minutes late at 8:47am. Chin Ting as usual appears to be earlier than me again at 8:45am like that. My predicted time is 8:40 though if not for those bus 8. -.- Never mind, tomorrow will be a better day. And so starts a new day, as the colleague that is supposed to review my work is quite busy, another colleague therefore helped me review and give instructions well. The length of each field name seems to have a standard as he told me. But i found quite some differences here and there that make me a bit confused. So with his guidance, i have revised a better version for today.
Friday, woke up a bit late than yesterday. Bus 8 did not come as the bus stop are full of people, therefore i took bus 28 to safra there and change to bus 65 again. I am quite surprised that bus 65 is quite reliable as i reached company at 8:42am and i broke my own record. But somehow, Chin Ting arrived earlier than me again. -.- 840am again... Looks like Bus 63 drivers really trains their driving skills alot. Hmmm today, revised a more updated database tables as new tables are ready for me to add in more details and edit where neccesary. As for primary key identification part, my colleague took over as i dun need think so hard. Ha ha, and so lunch, me n 2 other male colleagues went to the big food court below our office. I order Laksa Yong Tau Foo and i thought the laksa is not spicy de. But 10 Sips later, it is really quite spicy, therefore i eat slower. One of the 2 colleagues went back to office soon as the other stayed back to accompany me and discuss things.
Looks like from what he says, new interns are coming in next tuesday if there are no delays. I am quite happy as there are not many that i can chat well with in the office. One thing interesting that i note is that my colleagues are from indonesia, china and a few from malaysia. Despite some culture barrier, I start to understand and hope that everything should be peaceful in the next few weeks. As my colleagues mostly do not share similar interests including Chin Ting, I find opportunities to talk are far and few. I also heard that this company used to have a big office area in kaki bukit which there is an IBM company branch there. A pity, it moves to here which is just 2 years ago. A bit more small discussions and we went up to office soon. These few days, I also know more admin stuffs such as receiving stuffs from delivery man and entertain those promoters. Got sell story books de, sell photocopier machine de and a few others. Amazing y they come here huh? Well, mayb they want to earn more income ba. Ended my day soon by starting to identify a big database for field name's length differences.
Tired but soon slack a while in the bus 22 where i meet yj they all for the movie- House Of Wax. Wow, there are traffic jams around Eunos link area. For 30 minutes, the bus reaches only the next 2 bus stops. Haiz, anyway they postponed it to 9:55pm instead. Normally i reach Tampines Interchange in 30 minutes time but today took 1hr to reach Tampines due to the eunos link traffic area. Instead of Burger King for dinner, 4 of us eat KFC instead while waiting for Dora to come. Cos KFC got more seats for us mah. Dora is delayed as she went for meeting with supervisors and a group of colleagues. So me n derrick eat and yj n jh tok about their experiences. Seems quite interesting compared to mine so far. Dora arrived a bit late and if we did not call her, she most likely cannot join us to watch movie due to a meeting. And so house of wax, i reckon it deserves 6.5 only as there are alot better horror movies. Intro part a bit too long while ending part is relatively not that dramatic. BTW, alot of people went to watch Star Wars yesterday as we met Longfei n her friend along the way in TM while we are hanging around. Mayb i shall watch soon? Haha, i not so interested though.
For most of 2nd week, i manage my time to reach company well. Reached there around 8:45am on almost everyday. These few days, there are traffic jams around Eunos link area. Nevertheless, i start to get used to the traffic conditions already. I also start to communicate better among my colleagues. This week, i mainly touch on database tables and checking for errors in programs and datas. and i learnt data input today. So far, it seems that i am settling well. Next week is likely to be a busy week for me though. As i got colleagues helping me as i progress, I believe i can really learn in this company attachment. Though not a big company, the work enables me to apply what i learn in TP and get exposed to the business world out there.
Today, reached company at 8:45 but Chinting reached at 8:40am somehow. Mayb low traffic around Ubi area today ba. Haiz Saturday, i am asked to join a few other staffs for meeting on the next stage of new database projects. Hmmm, it seems i will do documentations on the program soon. Seems like a good experience for me. So, i have learnt how to input data in a program for data testing uses. So ended the short day soon and went to my foodcourt eat before going home with no rain. Char Siew Rice are delicious today as compared to the same stall last week. The meat just seems sweeter and tender to go with rice. So ended my day and took a nap from 4pm-6pm like that. From 6pm onwards keep watching TV and add in more words for the e-journal.

Sunday, Monday, tuesday and wednesdaySunday, i went to Sim Lim square in the afternoon to buy my graphics card for my computer. Found a good one and bought it. Now, my graphics card has been upgraded from MSI mx440 64mb ddr to MSI fx5500 256mb ddr. Power enuff rite? Costs me $162 only. So after buying, i walk to bugis, hoping to see people that i know there. But i saw strangers everywhere. haha. Whenever i got feeling that i will meet someone that i know, it is always 50% that it will come true. Amazing ya? Soon, board the mrt home and replace old graphics card with newly bought one. The old one appears to have its small fan black in colour and a few spots of it is slightly black. Next time, i shall figure it out what is the problem leading to sudden graphics card failure with some friend. So if any of u free and is expert in identifying graphics card failure, rem sms me. Haha Now my PC graphics is alot better and it suddenly feels alot less laggy in appearance. Ended my day soon.
Monday, took bus 8 and transfer to bus 63. Bus 8 pass by me 3 to 4 times while i am waiting for bus 63 at Eunos link. Damn frustrated, should have continue to the stop near my workplace and walk in. Therefore, i arrived at 9:20am like that. My latest time is 9:25am though. Lucky nobody scold me, but i know i need to be punctual to impress my boss better. And also, i dunno how Chin Ting always reached company at 8:45am on every work day. I am therefore determined to arrive earlier than 8:45am more often from tml onwards. Yeah, a new goal for myself! Smash her record of 8:40am in due time! Yeah... Satisfied with my work of finishing the database tables well, but still got to wait for my colleagues to approve it before i can continue doing the next level of database creation. As such, i start on compiling the customers database for the company. There are 36 companies. Woah... Started on last working hour of the day, therefore should be finishing on tuesday easily.
Tuesday, i slept late. Nevertheless, I arrived at work at 8:57am. Bus 8 quite dependable today. But arggggggg, still fail to reach before 8:45am. -.- Feel depressed a little, but tomorrow i will be earlier. And so, i finish organising and compiling the company address details by lunch. And dunno for wat reason, Chin Ting dun wan to go eat lunch with me since a few days ago. As if i am going to eat her like that, oh well fine. I will find colleagues to eat lunch with me tomorrow. So today eat yee mian alone, but the standard here is jus acceptable. Haiz, i vowed i will not eat yee mian in ubi techpark ever again in the next 14 weeks. After lunch, i read news on yahoo site and relax for the last 5 working hours of the day. And the colleague that is going to review my work before me proceeding to the next level is still not yet done. No news of yet. Went home feeling a bit sad. Tomorrow will be better!
Today, i woke up at 6:50am like that. A rush of adrendaline rushed through my veins and i quickly make sure that i went out to catch bus at 8am. However, bus 8 came at 8:10am. Therefore, i got 50-50 chance of making it to company before 8:45am. My heart pumped a bit faster than usual. Luckily, bus 8 is quite fast today. It even drove past an ultra slow bus23 along bedok reservoir expressway. Haha, It seems that i can arrive quite soon. And i reached at the bus stop outside my stop at 8:39 like that. And so, i walked fast and reached at 8:43am like that. Woo... So happy, found that i am the 2nd person to reach the company. The first person is of course the boss. And i waited to see how early Chin Ting actually arrive as the attendance file is in my hands, haha. So there she appears, at 8:46am like that. But i am very kind, write as 8:45, cos her record of 8:45am every working day is so nice. But today, finally i first time reached company earlier than her. By only 2 mins though, i feel quite happy. Tomorrow shall try to reach and smash her record of 8:40am if possible. Looks like i got to wait at the bus stop at 7:55am. Wow, bus 63 drivers always drive with constant speed and skills huh? Well, bus 8 is quite erratic somehow. Sometimes bus 8 can surprise me, but it often disappoints me. So later, i shall sleep earlier than yesterday.
Today, feel that she looks sadder day by day. Haha, and so i do admin stuffs and relax for an hour till 12pm. As usual, she ask me go lunch first. I dun really bother to ask whether she want to eat lunch with me anymore. I told her i will be joining 3 other colleagues for lunch. And for lunch, i went to a new canteen eat wanton noodles. Quite delicious and filling as well. I talk a bit with my colleagues and found out that Xiaoyi graduated from TP BIT 2 years ago. Wow, further more, heard they say that 2 new interns will be joining us. Haha, then i can eat lunch with my sec sch friend le. Yay! Should be my friend unless boss decides to employ other students instead. Now looking forward to next week, eager to meet my friend and i can dun care whether Chin Ting wants to talk to me or not. I got ask her questions these few days, but she just answer my questions with dull tone and gives short answers that i sometimes cannot understand. Haizzz
Anyway after lunch, i continue with some work given by a supervisor. That is to check some documents whether anything is left out for printing. I dun quite understand wat is the purpose of doing such a job when customers have already almost identified all possible problems, but i shall ask her about it tml. So i relax as i do and i take opportunity to explore the program for checking as well. Currently, feels that those guy colleagues are quite nice. I therefore shall try interact with them more regularly this week. Soon, I ended my work. Reached home feeling much better than yesterday. How shall tml turns out to be? Check it out soon, Ya... ...

4th day, did nothing much except a bit of filing. For lunch, i ate fish n chips. Hmmm, not bad, but did not feel full enough after eating. Hmmm, i dun think i will buy fish n chips in next few months as it is not value for money. Soon enough,i will evaluate on what food is good near my work place ba. After lunch, i am back to my cabin and i continue to read documents in the computer. After some reading, boss call me to meet him and a few other programmers in the meeting room. We discussed about whether i can join into their latest project. It is then confirmed that i can contribute by creating data tables for their new database. I am quite delighted that i have this opportunity to apply some of my ORDB knowledge into this new assignment of mine. 5th day, I started in the morning by helping out Chin Ting in her customer follow-up work. Made afew calls to a company to ask for IP address and ask them to restart their PCAnywhere program to allow us fix their problem easily. However, i have some problem in explaining how my company managed to resolve the problem as one programmer took over from me and explained in a few sentences only. Hmmm, I shall be able to learn more on how to communicate better to companies as the weeks past by. Soon, we take turns to change shift... i had my lunch at 130am after i start abit on my assignment. Which is first to modify the old database tables, so that it can fit into microsoft sql servers easily. After Chin Ting came back, i finished the first table consisting of 150+ rows of data. Basically, i have to rename some elements and change data types etc before i went for my lunch an hour later. So i eat Char Siew Rice, meat is quite juicy but the sauce that comes together does not taste as well though. Still, i prefer the Char Siew rice near my house de.
After lunch, i continue to do the database editing task. I managed to finished 95% of the task as it is 6pm soon. How i wish i am still learning ORDB as i could learn to identify data types more easily back then. But now, it is okay as i find it acceptable at this stage of project. Ah, it is friday 13th and it is 630pm. I took bus63 at 6pm+ and reached eunos mrt station to meet ivy lee. She asked me on thursday nite to meet her there to go together to meet kris at Dhoby ghout to celebrate Kris birthday. So when i arrived at mrt station, a girl approached me to ask me buy a book light which can be clipped onto pages of book. It costs $10 and since it looks nice and can help charity, i find it difficult to resist not helping the hardworking young girl. Along the way to Dhoby ghout, ivy lee kept reprimand me at times and talk non-stop to me. I can't blame her, of course as her work place seems quite boring. Soon, we meet up with kris and we went for a few games of pool. I managed to win all but lose a silly game to ivy. All because of the people behind me that makes me touch the white ball before i even want to shoot... zzz The people there charges us $6+ where they say is over an hour, but we like spend only less than an hour. Sighzzz, they want to earn easy money, no point to argue when we did not have evidence to proof that we play a while. After that, we went to Taos' and waited quite long before yx and greg comes to join us to wait for seats.
Wow, i must say that the food that i chooses taste quite nice. After eating, we celebrate by first singing the song in english followed by chinese. Greg even feels like singing in cantonese but as few of us know to even sing in that dialect, we proceed to let kris blow her candles and make wish. Despite all of us are quite full, we still eat birthday cake as a respect to celebrate with kris. It is vanilla with some choco bits spongy type of cake if i am not wrong. Kris receives her present consisting of very nice earrings and necklace. I indeed have fun with u all this night. From 9pm+, we ate to 11pm like that before we make our way home. Ahhh, what a nice day to end my first working week... ...

Today, SIP monthly lesson in TP. Here is how it goes, watched a interesting fish company video at 9pm before we head to our respective liasion Officer classrooms for lesson at 930pm. For today though, my LO is not present. So we head to Alternate LO classroom for lesson. We got briefed a little on the report format and was asked to draft an intro section as homework for next month's lesson. We soon discussed about the video and each group present it on a big sheet of paper. After that, we got our logbooks signed and it ended at 11:10pm+. I soon found yj and a few others at com lab and we head to food court opposite of TP. Marrybrown is quite expensive but looks good, i shall eat it when i get my pay. So i eat ramen with tomato sauce in it and a cup of soya bean. Alot of BIT people gather at that food court to eat btw. After eating, i went home since dora dun want me to join her and yj to orchard. And also since no one wants go anywhere, i proceed to take my bus8 home.
Once reached home, I am quite fed up with my com after that it is functioning a bit unwell yesterday... It appears that my graphics card has problem with displaying colours on the monitor. So after a lot of tries, i am tired and i went for a long nap at 1pm+ all the way to 7pm+. Now that i am revitalized, i am able to blog such a long one and part of it shall be used for my e-journal. Finally somehow managed to get my computer running. However, as i am blogging, my computer screen shows only a few colors and i had to bear a while since i am going to fix this problem quick by tml. I shall go to sim lim square tml to buy a new graphic card. Mayb i will head to CS or marine parade to send my nokia phone for repairs as it is getting worser day by day. SMS me if u wanna come accompany me. Till next monday, see ya...

SIP 1st day/2nd day/3rd day1st day, for most of the time before lunch, me and chin ting are briefed about our job scope. There are 5-6 components to cover, and the program itself ranges from 1-13 modules. Oh, we two sure are scared off slightly. But i console myself, i can cover those components soon. Haha. There are around 10 employees, all seems friendly. So its lunch time soon. Me eat Ban mian, chin ting eat economical nasi lemak type. My food is piping hot, costs only $2.50. Quite nice, but a bit too hot, slow to cool. After lunch, we are told to continue reading documentations. And there time ticks fast, 6pm came soon and home sweet home. This day seems to be indicating that my attachment throughout 16 weeks will be a fruitful and enjoyable one. There are a lot of files to explore and i believes those will somehow improves my skills abit more and get me familiarise with the operations faster.
2nd day, i get to know more about the admin tasks. In the morning and afternoon, two of us are showed how to do testing as the printed paper may not show the desired results that are showed on screen for some reason. But one of the tougher tasks are demonstrated and that is backup/restore of files on a new database using enterprise manager. U need to click here and there for many times to retrieve files and other things before tada... a backup database is loaded with info. From the surface, it looks easy. But it actually involves quite some steps to complete this. Some more practise on this shall do the trick, hmmmm... Then afternoon, both of us, started to pick up phone calls. All calls are looking for some staff in the innosys company though. Haha... For lunch, i eat wanton mee. $2 only... Wow, cheap and taste nice. I planned to eat 1 food from each stall from today onwards. My partner eat something like chicken rice. Hmmm, next time then i eat that. After lunch, we are taught about how to compile files. I understand 70% of the steps like that, but more practise needs to be done to be 100%. Not tat difficult, only jus a bit tricky. But needless to say, i got confident that i should be able to do this soon.
For the last 1 or 2 hour, we explore computer in different cabins. Mine is at the back, so i feel stress as the boss and managers are all behind me. Some other small testing are done before we are released. Off I went to take bus63 and it happens that my partner also meeting her BIT friends in bugis to eat and talk talk. So dinner, eat yoshinoya and discussed our SIPS among yj, dora, derrick, jh, nic, huiling. Chin ting and a few of her friends are at food court that are opposite of ours coincidentally. Chat and found out some of them really can have good lunches, some very relaxing and some can surf net occasionally de. Haiz, even if i can, my company's computers are too slow for fast navigating sites as programs sometimes hang while querying for data. -.- Back home at 9+pm, watch tv and sleep soon.
3rd day, busiest day so far for me. Attendance for chin ting always around 8:45am de. While me 9am like that. Hmmm, feel that take cab is better than take bus. Cab only past by some traffic lights, bus pass by a lot of traffic lights. Cab takes 20-25 mins to reach company, bus takes about 45mins-1hr to reach company. Somehow, the buses that i am waiting always come late de... And traffic lights keep delay the time. Dun u feel strange that u need 1 hr from tampines to ubi? Sigh, bus8 keep driving slow slow like that. So i guess i should be taking cab these few days to see how ba as i need 1hr to reach home... zzz Anyway, quite surprised that i saw my sec school classmate in my company. Wow, tat is at 10am like tat and i can't believe that i saw her. Hmmm, a while later, heard from one of the admin manager that she is another interviewee for my company and chances are high that she may be accepted. Things may be interesting if she is attached to this company. I dunno why boss wants to recruit attachment students, yet no choose to give us higher pay instead. Hmmm, maybe he want more variety of attachment students ba. She left after 1 hour like that, and another interviewee came.
This time at 11am, if i am not wrong should be a malay guy. Looks like the 2 interviewees are from dip in information management which is IT course. I am looking forward to a few weeks time. Suddenly, feels that my attachment is going to be better soon. Haha, got soft bg radio 933 fm somemore. Wah, can hear songs ranging from jay zhou to S.H.E. Hmmm, therefore does not feel bored these few days. At 10pm+, I started to do sorting and filing of documents that exist for as long as nov04 till now on my own mostly. Got to punch thousands of holes on papers somemore, feel exhausted at the end of the day as i only left 5% of them not filed in yet. Wow, Somemore needs to sort by date and companies and even branches. Alot of words on the documents make my eyes dizzy a little. Feels satisfied that i can do this though. My partner meanwhile do testing of programs on her own. She later got help me a little but she made 1 error. Haha, luckily i spotted it, or else sort by wrong date. Hmmm, she meet BIT at bugis after work, while me waiting for bus63 and bus8 miserably to reach home an hour later. I wonder why isn't there a express bus from tampines and stretch through Ubi techpark. Oh well... Hope there is one soon... Shall blog soon... see ya.

Mother's Day/Last words before SIPOk, Enjoyed myself for the last few days... Friday, friend come to my house play PS2 de lego Star Wars with me. It is a cute n fun game to play. Had Subway for lunch and Delifrance on Friday. Saturday, go to Derrick house to watch videos again. Not so bad la, can see his pet doggie also. Sunday, stayed at home while mum go out with her friend. Alas, happy mother's day to all mothers in this world. Did not celebrate as usual, but mayb tml buy some food home to treat my mum. Haha... at nite, went to trim my hair abit n buy a long pant at G2000 in TM. And before i end my day, i shall blog abit more about what is to come...
SIP day starts tml. At this point of time, i am sure most BIT Yr3 students are feeling excited and nervous. Haha, Anyway, i figured out a few new routes to reach my company without a need to take cab. I can either take mrt to eunos and then transfer to bus 63 to the bus stop tat is just a few steps away from my company, or i can take bus 8 and transfer to 63 at eunos link bus stop. But i am scared that bus63 does not come often. Hmmm shall see what happens tml then. Hope my day can be happy, if not satisfied at least. Hope the people there can be kind enough. Time is now getting closer to my SIP reporting time. Byebye, shall blog on my first day working in Innosys Pte Ltd tml.

Goodbye former president/Singnet promo/More on SIP Although i do not remember the presence of the former President Wee Kim Wee, I felt that he is still the people's president after hearing alot of news reports on his past. Here are some facts for those who do not know him well...

Ok, now i shall talk a little about singnet's recent broadband promotions. Gonna give some more details about my upcoming SIP before i sleep. I worked from 9am-6pm on weekdays and 9am-1pm on saturdays. Not that bad, though it can be better. My company appears to have moved from eunos area to ubi in recent years as the street directory is not up to date ba. There are lots of lifts lobbys in the building of my company, which is good in case of emergencies. The manager there appears to be a good man when he interviews me not long ago. As for colleagues, after a few days i shall know.
As for some other bad points, it seems to be only one canteen there. Hmmm, if the food are nice, mayb i can be satisfied? I can't imagine the long queues there may be during the lunch breaks. Sigh, sort of disappoinment if the stalls there are few. I shall check it out soon. As for accessibility, there are only a few buses that i can take apart from bus63->it is jus a road across my company's building. If i am to take bus 8 or 22 or 65 or 66, i need to walk at least 200m+ to my company!!! How can i not be tired then? I shall see how, the best way is to take cab but money is a factor here. Hmmm... There are other elements to whether i can survive this 16 weeks SIP ordeal ... Me Shall blog again soon...

Sentosa Trip Aftermath/SIP LaunchThe day after sentosa trip is the start of pain for me. First visible sign is that my face turns quite red and begins to feel itchy. Then the day after that, slimy liquid oozes out of my nose area. Oh, the skin area around my face starts to peel itself off slowly starting from my nose area. More skin starts to peel off constantly from inner circle(nose) to the outer circle(face). I am feeling pain as the skin is peeled more and more. From minor headaches to like shivering sort of pain, i managed to tolerate it for a nite.
After a nite, skins can be peeled off rather easily and finally without any much pain. At the moment, other skins from Shoulders, neck and upper arms start to peel off soon. As of now, my nose appears not to be so red and face is recovering well. Shoulder joints are quite red now and also more Dead Dry skins are awaiting to be peeled easily. Oh, hope it shall be over soon. As i blogged this, PSV loses out to AC Milan unfortunately through the away goal rule. Just 2 mins to extra time, PSV failed to prevent an away goal. Even though they scored seconds afterward, they are still one goal short of making into the final match in Istanbul. I feel so sad for PSV, they do not deserved to be kicked out. Some of the AC milan players kept looking cocky enough, they can count themselves lucky to be able to play in finals. Haizzz... ...
Talking about SIP launch which is 2 days ago, it makes me feel that my SIP Sem should be a happy one for me. I should be able to learn well and more during my 16 weeks in Innosys pte ltd, most probably as a customer support asisstant. Over the next few days, i shall come up with simple statistics to show u all a preview of what my SIP is going to be like. I shall start off with some known facts. I am lucky not to be working alone in the company at Ubi Techpark. I am more relieved than alot of students as my SIP partner is not any bad guy or naughty girl. When my LO, Ms Phyllis Chong called out our names to her desk for the job info, I soon found out that my partner is Chin Ting. Though I don't know her at all, she looks quite decent enough to be a good partner. If my partner is a guy, i of course hope is someone that i met before. But never mind, one can't ask for much either. My pay is slightly above $420 and I start work thankfully at 9am, though 10am will be better. KK, i shall reserve some other good points to talk about in the coming few days.
Now, i shall say a bit of the bad points. Firstly, I hate taking bus 8 as the drivers always drive slow and there are loads of traffic lights from my house to Ubi work place. Just a bus to TP already have 5 traffic lights. =.= I guess i may have to try transfering to other buses to see whether it comes at more intervals and fast enough or not. But the fastest way is still taking Taxi to work as it travels along expressway to Ubi area easily. It costs about $6 as i took cab to interview that day and still can afford to find the company slowly without unneccessary panics. I will only be more than willingly take bus 8 home as it is slow enough and a good time to take a short nap.
The 2nd bad point should be there are no shopping centres nearby. Awww, I actually want to take a walk in a shopping mall after a lunch and can see games or other interesting things. Too bad, but never mind. I have a good SIP partner and maybe can know some nice colleagues. Then, the third bad point should be... ... Ehh, tml or the day after then i say. And btw, no one wants to make any guess on the 1st and 2nd guess game already huh? Hmmm, maybe i will reveal answer soon. There are some other things that i want to say now, but i am tired to continue typing further. As for now, there shall be plenty of things to think about after reading this post. See ya soon... ...
