*&^My Poly Reflection^&*

Semesters that i really enjoyed - 1st, 2nd, last.

Well basically, i enjoyed my 1st year in poly and the final few months of poly more than any semesters. In my 1st year, I made quite a number of friends and also the semesters are much longer than in 2nd or 3rd years. Had FAST system not been introduced in year 2, I would probably enjoyed those few semesters then. My year 1 class, tb29 is quite a nice class and had some outings which made the class bonds better. I remember somewhere in early 2nd year, there is a chalet where many people attended and the atmosphere was great. Somehow, i feels that the FAST system inevitably reduces the number of outings that my friends can organise. To some people, this merely means poly will be over soon. But to people like me, we feel that time is not enough to spend with friends as the original 3 years only reduces to slightly over 2 years of poly life. Shorter time, isn't it?

Lifestyle in TP throughout the years

A simple life should be enough to summarize my lifestyle in TP through these years. I did not join any CCAs as i feel that time isn't really enough and furthermore i dun have any much CCA foundation built during secondary and even primary school days. Neither did i join any competitions as i find myself not competitive enough to win anything. Hmmm, I did hang out with friends to various outings though. Somehow, in the midst of my first poly year, i find out about Pool games and gradually learn bit by bit on how to win a pool game. Over a period of time, i improved on my accuracy and am able to occasionally split pool balls by the side of tat particular targeted pool ball. This is one of the interesting games tat i found during my poly life but it indeed is an expensive game. I also learned a bit of tennis game much later too. I found out that you need to be able to serve and hit back accordingly with much needed strength, speed and accuracy to win a game.

In Tp, i occasionally play badminton and table tennis. I somehow know and play some squash in my 2nd year. Besides that, i dun really get involved in other activities. About having to settle my lunch n sometimes dinner, mensa canteen is my favourite canteen with many great western food on serve everyday in "Salad Bar". Of course, i dun always eat western food. I sometimes do go design school to eat malay food and sometimes fish n chips. Hehe... Only when time is tight between lessons, then i will have no choice but to eat in business school canteen. Besides studies, activities and eating, accessing VBUS frequently has been part of my poly life as well. Some of u all may miss accessing VBUS to check on subject updates and to print lecture slides ya? hehe

Outside TP, me and some friends often go watching movies, BBQs, going to beaches to enjoy and have fun with friends. Hmmm, some of them knows how to play mahjong. Some of them are learning how to play and i am also a newbie too. And it seems that having a chalet at least once each year since end of 1st year has already been the norm. Well, will there be another one? Maybe yes maybe no. Since we already graduated and some seems to be busier. At the moment, got an upcoming graduation trip organized by some friends though. So it will be a mystery as to whether there will be any chalet as most of us will spend quite alot. Lolx

Friends, Lecturers and events

Each Semester, i meet new friends. Some semesters, i made a few friends only. Most of the friends that i treasured most are from my poly year 1. Each friend has his or her character and teach me various things. Gotta thanks those kind friends for helping me along the way. N those who have help or share things with me in anyway, u should know without me mentioning here.

Lecturers to me are sort of a source of motivation for me to do well for the subject that each of them are involved. Some lecturers are kind and therefore i managed to study better with their useful guidelines. Only a few lecturers have not been teaching relevant knowledge to us. They should know themselves who they are. Dun wanna talk bad things about them here. hehe. All of the lecturers have nicknames i suppose. Really would like to thank some of them for going the extra mile to ensure we really learn. If time can reverse back, i would have studied much harder and would score much better for some subjects.

For events though, i remember the CCN day each year. There are things for sale to raise funds for charity and it is one of the few days that lecturers n students can relax and enjoy food, activities n even car services provided. haha, then there are the open house which some of us will go and get freebies somehow. I wonder next year open house will have wat performances and activities. Hmmm... Anyway, this year open house got free drinks when we use our ez-link card at each vending machine. Cool technology ya? Haha

Some other comments

Well, wat can i say? Sure, my poly life have been fun at times, frustrated occasionally, stressful often and sometimes a little happening. Better time management should allow me more focus on studies though. I dunno why sometimes a bit of luck is needed and i don't seem to have it at times. Nowadays though, one needs to have a bit of luck unless he or she really puts in 100% effort in watever tasks to succeed. I know some of you may not agree though.

Oh well, I managed to graduate from TP somehow. Some memories are captured in the form of photos and even videos. Right now, it is time to rest a little ya? Will i eventually step into a "University" phrase? hmmm, hard to say now. Ok, i shall temporarily stop typing now. Be back soon to further update my blog.

Recently, i found that the anime "Mushishi" is quite interesting. Maybe shall discuss abit about it here soon. Seeeeeee Yahhhhhhhh... ...

Doing things that you hate doing will have an adverse impact on your future. True or False?
