To be happy or maybe not? =|Well, i hav jus passed my BAPT test a few days ago back on thursday. It is indeed tough as it is quite physical n mentally focused... Happy that this is over, but now worrying about the upcoming SOC test on thursday. But nvm, there is an SOC conditioning on tues. So if i fine-tuned my performance, i should be able to pass tis time round. After tat on fri n sat, i will be posted to tampines fire station as a 2 day station attachment. I wonder how i can cope if there really is a fire or ambulance case. Well, tats not all. Still got the monday after tis coming monday to worry a bit about. IPPT test again... tis time round is monday instead of thursday or friday. How to really perform well? Ok i shall figure it out. Shall be back home after SOC test on thurs. Then there shall be 1 less thing to worry then.
Ok, dora's bday has jus passed. A mini celebration at jack's place tampines for her. Quite a happy gathering of 10 ppl n walked some distance from tampines mrt to simei mrt through linkway n long overhead bridge. Talked a bit and then home sweet home. Dinner was generally ok n cake taste creamy with strawberry n chocolate flavour. Once again, happy bday to dora. If not for her uni exams coming soon, celebration could have been grander abit. Nevertheless, nice gathering anyway. =) Me go sleep soon, gonna go guard duty on sunday morning 730am. be back to blog mayb tis coming thurs or weekends. A month from now, things shall be different somehow. hmmm...
Dun anyhow waste time unless u need time for a break...

Xx Brunei Trip is pleasant if... xXOk, i m back from brunei. Guess how i reach that outward bound training center in brunei. First, 2 hr flight from singapore to brunei. 1st time taking plane, feeling not bad. Got a bit feel of in rollercoaster when plane took off n landed. Otherwise, it is sort of being in a bus with occasional shakes. I can't imagine how dizzy i can be if it is a longer flight. After that, took a mini bus 20mins to a jetty nearby. Next, took a small boat for 40 mins or so. The ride is breezy n better when it turns to another direction in the waters. Last, another 30 min bus ride to temburong, a small village with a long 2-way road n kampongs. Nice scenery of seas, trees and sky. A pity tat i did not have a digicam with me. Haha... Ok i shall just briefly talk about my tiring trip.
Jus to let u all know that the area there is sort of tropical rainforest climate. My batch stay separately on 3 huts, namely known as teratats. when u hear the rain sound coming nearby the area u standing, u will have a few extra seconds than in singapore to run for the shelter if any. One of the highlights i feel that i quite like it is the kayaking in the big river there. The current flowing river rate is rather strong due to the monsoon season. I also learnt a few survival tips like how to drift to the side of a river safely if u r flushed away by the waters n things u can grab to stop being flushed away. Amazing thing is that while the day is hot, water is rather cold. Somemore, sunlight shines at around 620am and sets at around 6pm. How great it is to start a day fast n ends it early too.
I also got go trekking for 3 days. Slopes in slippery soft soil is the toughest n somehow i made it. I am most satisfied with the last few hours of the trekking as i managed to walk on without much pain somehow. And solo night is rather creepy as u can only c darkness with no trees n anything in sight. Lucky for me, there is no dangerous creatures near me else i sure end up with more injuries. Lastly got a 10km morning run, which i took 1hr 6mins to complete. Can be better if morning weather is cooler n i walk lesser. Ok, last few hours, got go brunei mainland mall shopping. Food is cheap!!! even kfc tastes better there than here. The chicken are fried in some sort of curry powder n wedges are piping hot. Supermarket snacks are cheaper n i bought some back. Hehe. Bought 2 unique keychains for myself. Unfortunately, due to my limited cash in hand over there, did not manage to buy for my friends. But nvm, i promise i will buy souvenirs for my friends when i take plane next time.
Ok, b4 i home sweet home. i know from friends that u can buy 1 liquor n 2 packs of alcohol with ur passport at the duty free shop b4 u come out of the airport arrival hall. Helped my friend as he wans another bottle of liquor home n bought some alcohol for my parents. To think of it now, i should actually buy bottle of liquor for myself n parents to savour. Nvm, next plane trip shall do so then. So, took mrt with my big luggage(parabag) n from simei took cab home as airport there got lots of people waiting for cab.
Ok, tues morning gonna book in. Tougher training in the weeks to come. Now who says SCDF training is easier life than expected if u have a diploma?
Mental over soul and body...

**A Day b4 i setting off for Brunei...**So alot of things have happen thus far. Firstly, let me talk about yj's 21st bday chalet at aloha loyang on Oct7. It is quite far in from pasir ris park n quite hard to find in aloha loyang. Chalet indoor living rooms n bedrooms are not bad. Though i believe that there are many ppl whofind that there isn't enough outdoor space to have a proper social interaction. Heard that there are 80 ppl and that is quite lively enough. Ambience is not bad too, except that it is hard to really celebrate with everyone with limited space though. I met up with 2 poly teachers and talk to them about my civil defence NS. They were quite amazed about it and are generally glad to talk to me. =) I also met up with other friends, and i believe they still does not know much about the modern SCDF nowadays. Nvm, i shall talk about that when i meet each of my friend later somehow. Ok, had a generally pleasant time but can be better. Quite a unique day spent indeed...
Up next, 28 Oct is jx 20th bday at billy bombers @ marina square. Meal is quite big for many of us. There are quite some good surprises here and there. Ambience not bad. Many enjoyed. A pity that ivy lee missed the gathering though. Later though, she did join a small group of us to eat a little supper. I must say tat nic driving is getting dangerous nowadays. Haha. Once again, wish both yj n jx happy belated bday here. Up next, i believe a more surprised outing should be in the plans. Hmmm, wats next?
Ok, shall be back soon to blog a little about my brunei trip. It should be exhausting enuff though. Will be taking BI422 on monday 11am+ with my fellow mates n instructors, back by 12th nov sunday 9.30pm by BI421. Oh wat a long journey. Will be at home after tat till mon nite then i book in again. Anything, jus sms me or c me at airport ba. See ya all when i back =)
